During the meeting between the Secretary-General of the AIDLR and the Chief Minister Al Haj Ahod Murad Ebrahim, from the Philippines, a discussion that took place at the Forum for Peace in Muslim Societies – points of view were exchanged on the global religious liberty issues, with a particular focus on the Philippines; the role of politicians to initiate balanced laws protecting religious liberty for all people, develop good practices that promote harmony and peace for Christians, Muslims, Jews and other beliefs was also discussed, this latter point being especially important when some religions belong to minorities, while others are in the religious majority. The Chief Minister appreciated the expertise and the initiatives shared by the AIDLR Secretary-General and thanked him for the literature published by the International Association for the Defense of Religious Liberty, as tools that contribute towards peace and security throughout world.
